Hypothenar Hammer Syndrome Associated with Vascular Injury

Does the patient have a history of recently using a hammer or other hand tool in the affected hand?

Was the hand tool used with a lot of force or vibration?

• show blanching of the skin in the distribution of the ulnar artery on exposure to cold?

• have ulcer(s) on the tip(s) of the fourth and/or fifth fingers?

• have pain in the fourth and/or fifth fingers?

• show stenosis and/or pseudoaneurysm of the distal ulnar artery?

• show thrombosis of the digital branches to the fourth and/or fifth fingers?
