Johannes is CEO and cofounder of The Medical Algorithms Company Limited. He currently also serves as Chairman or Director of service and technology companies. Dr. Harl is active in business development and private equity investments. He held senior positions with banking and investment firms in London, New York, Zurich and Frankfurt serving at Bank Julius Baer, Citicorp, HypoVereinsbank and JPMorgan. He attended the universities of Erlangen, Munich, East Anglia, Ohio State. Johannes holds a PhD in Operations Research and served as a professor at New York University.
John Svirbely, MD is a founder and Chief Medical Officer of The Medical Algorithms Company and the primary author of medical algorithms. John is also a co-founder of the Medical Algorithms Project and has developed its medical content for over 16 years. He has a BA degree from the Johns Hopkins University and his MD from the University of Maryland. He is a board-certified pathologist with fellowship in medical microbiology and biomedical computing at the Ohio State University. He has authored multiple books and articles on medical algorithms.
Claus Puhlmann is cofounder, Director and Chief Scientific Officer. His primary focus is on media structure and online content. He has extensive experience in cancer biology and immunology and over 20 years experience in publishing, editing and managing medical information and in prepress publishing services. He started his career as a research scientist with the Max-Planck-Institute, followed by positions as Senior Product Manager and Senior Editor with Chapman & Hall, Kohlhammer, and Birkhäuser with main focus on strategic development of medical and scientific publishing programs. Dr. Puhlmann then worked with national and international customers, and served as content manager in the development of patient-focused, internet-based medical information system and electronic health record system.
Skye is Chief Marketing and Product Officer and primarily focused on all media and mobile technology developments. A pioneer in mobile app development, Skye began conceptualizing and developing mobile apps in 2008, just a few months after Apple released its SDK to developers. Building upon more than 20 years of publishing and content development experience, Skye quickly adapted to designing and developing content for mobile and online platforms and established her niche in medical apps. She's spearheaded development and marketing for nearly 200 medical apps in collaboration with leading medical publishers, Springer Healthcare and McGraw-Hill.
Pramod is Chief Technology Officer. He directs our technology innovation strategies and develops and operates the website and mobile applications. He is the technical systems architect and an expert in project management. Pramod has been the systems architect of mobility projects in retail, insurance, publishing and entertainment on iOS and Android applications and achieved an outstanding record of technical accomplishment and project success. He served as a leader of the Infosys Mobility Group in the US and India serving services Global 1000 companies. Pramod holds an MTech degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from NIT Allahabad.
Laurie Benson is a Director of of The Medical Algorithms Company and active in business development and strategic development. Laurie's background includes television, print and digital media in both the U.S. and Europe/Middle East Africa. An early member of the CNN team, Ms. Benson managed the launch teams of two highly successful cable networks, HGTV and Oxygen Media. Laurie then served as Publisher for Time Magazine (parent company, Time Warner) in EMEA. Charged with re-directing this mature business, she helped to drive the operation to record profits during her tenure. She then led the commercial activities of Bloomberg's Publishing and their Digital operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Medal's Medical Director, Dr. Chad Rudnick, MD, FAAP, is an integral part of our management team. He works closely with our Chief Medical Officer on product development and also is responsible for professional outreach. Dr. Rudnick is a proponent of incorporating medical technology and analytics into clinical practice. An accomplished medical writer, he has been published in several peer-reviewed medical journals. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Florida, graduating with honors. He received his M.D. from the University of South Florida College of Medicine. He also is an Affiliate Assistant Professor of Clinical Biomedical Science at the Florida Atlantic University Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine.
Sriram Iyengar is a Founder and a Director of The Medical Algorithms Company and our medical technology infrastructure guru. He was also a co-founder of the Medical Algorithms Project. His experience includes clinical informatics, healthcare systems security, clinical decision making and algorithm medicine. He has served as senior executive manager in large medical research centers and technology companies, and at the NASA Johnson Space Center. Sriram also serves as an Associate Professor of Biomedical Informatics at Texas A&M University. He has a BTech degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Madras, MSc in Electrical Comunications from the Indian Inst. Of Science, MS in Statistics and a PhD in Computer Science from Ohio State University.
