5F-Cumyl Pegaclone is a synthetic cannabinoid.
Chemical formula: 5-pentyl-2-(2-phenylpropan-2-yl)pyrido[4,3- b]indol-1-one
Action: agonist at the cannabinoid CB1-receptor
Although it was initially thought to be relatively safe, it has subsequently been associated with a number of deaths in Germany and Australia.
It has been added to herbal blends as well as being sold separately.
Risk factors for adverse effects:
(1) excessive dose, which may be unintentional
(2) co-ingestion with other drugs of abuse, including alcohol
(3) presence of toxic contaminants
(4) underlying comorbid conditions, especially cardiovascular disease
(5) allergy
