An angioglioma is a tumor composed of both glial and vascular components.
Features of an angioglioma:
(1) The patient has a mass lesion in the central nervous system.
(2) A biopsy shows a significant amount of a glial neoplasm (astrocytoma, oligodendroglioma).
(3) There is a significant amount of a vascular component resembling a hemangioma or arteriovenous malformation.
(4) Alternative diagnoses are excluded.
