Aortitis is an inflammatory disease of the aorta that may range in severity. It may be associated with several drugs used in oncology. Cases may be underreported.
Presentation:
(1) chest and/or abdominal pain
(2) increased acute phase reactants and/or inflammatory markers
(3) variable aortic dissection
Imaging studies may show changes consistent with inflammation of the aortic wall.
Drugs associated with aortitis:
(1) granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF: lipegfilgrastim, lenograstim, filgrastim, pegfilgrastim)
(2) nivolumab
