Dougados et al developed an articular index for evaluating joint symptoms in patients with ankylosing spondylitis. The authors are from Hopital Cochin and Hopital Pitie Salpetriere in Paris.
Joint sites:
(1) anterior pressure on thorax
(2) lateral pressure on thorax
(3) flexion of right hip
(4) flexion of left hip
(5) pressure on right buttock
(6) pressure on left buttock
(7) right rotation of cervical spine
(8) left rotation of cervical spine
(9) right rotation of dorsolumbar spine
(10) left rotation of dorsolumbar spine
