The Bandim Tuberculosis Score II (TBscoreII) is a revised version of the origninal TBscore for a patient with tuberculosis in a resource-limited community. The score was developed at the Bandim Health Project in Guinea-Bissau.
Patient selection: tuberculosis (? adults, since arm circumference would have less meaning in children)
Difference from original TBscore: removal of hemoptysis, night sweats, heart rate, lung auscultation, and temperature
Symptoms:
(1) cough
(2) dyspnea
(3) chest pain
Signs:
(1) anemia
(5) body mass index in kg per square meter
(6) mid upper arm circumference (MUAC) in mm

Interpretation:
• minimum score: 0
• maximum score: 8
• A change in the score by less than 25% after the first 2 months of therapy was associated with failure of antituberculosis therapy.
