MAGIC Syndrome (Mouth And Genital ulcers, Inflamed Cartilage) is now believed to be Behcet's disease with relapsing polychondritis.
Major features:
(1) oral aphthous ulcerations
(2) genital ulcerations
(3) relapsing polychondritis (auricular chondritis, other sites)
Associated findings:
(1) aortitis, which can result in an aortic aneurysm
(2) anterior uveitis, scleritis, episcleritis or other ocular inflammation
(3) arthritis
(4) erythema nodosum
Laboratory findings:
(1) elevated serum inflammatory markers
(2) selected HLA types (DRB1*0401, DRB1*0404, others)
