There are several scoring methods for interpreting the results of a radioallergosorbent test (RAST). One of the most commonly used is the CAP (College of American Pathologist) scheme employed with Pharmacia Diagnostics.
This is a quantitative assay that is standardized against the WHO IgE standard.

• 1 IU/mL (or 1 kU/L) IgE is equivalent to 2.4 ng/mL (or µg/L)
• The Pharmacia CAP System is an alternative scoring system that reports fluorescent results relative to a standard.
