An orbital arteriovenous malformation (AVM) may present with a number of clinical findings.
The most common finding is a periocular mass.
Findings seen in about half of patients:
(1) periocular swelling
(2) orbital bruit or vascular pulsations
(3) proptosis
(4) congestion and/or edema of episclera or conjunctiva
Additional findings:
(1) elevated intraocular pressure
(2) orbital pain
(3) decreased visual acuity
(4) restricted movement of extraocular muscles
(5) diplopia
