Koivuranta et al monitored the clinical symptoms of patients with postoperative nausea and vomiting. This can be used to monitor a specific patient or to compare different patients. The authors are from the University of Oulu in Finland.

(3) 11 point Likert scale for fatigue
(4) number of retching episodes
(5) number of vomiting episodes
The Likert scales were anchored on none and worst imaginable.
