The Common Toxicity Criteria (CTC) define adverse events following cancer therapy. It was designed for use in clinical trials of different therapeutic regimens. Criteria are given for the severity of hematologic complications occurring as a result of the cancer therapy.
Parameters:
(1) bone marrow cellularity (change related to treatment and not disease)
(2) CD4 count
(3) haptoglobin
(4) hemoglobin
(5) hemolysis
(6) WBC count (total leukocyte count)
(7) lymphopenia
(8) absolute neutrophil count
(9) platelet count
(10) platelet transfusion
(11) RBC transfusion
(12) hematologic problem, NOS
ULN = upper limit of normal
LLN = lower limit of normal
