Complications that may be associated with the procedure:
(1) hypotension
(2) cardiac arrhythmia
(3) seizure
(4) major bleeding
(5) allergic reaction
(6) hypophosphatemia
(7) hypokalemia
(8) hypocalcemia
Complications related to the dialysis catheter:
(1) pneumothorax
(2) hemothorax
(3) bleeding
(4) thrombosis
(5) bloodstream infection
(6) infection at the insertion site
(7) air embolism
