Patient selection: bacteriuria
Parameters:
(1) genitourinary symptoms (acute dysuria, urgency, frequency, suprapubic tenderness, flank pain)
(2) bacteremia from a urinary source with or without symptoms of UTI
(3) features of a systemic reaction (fever, organ failure or positive biomarker)
