Dhall et al proposed a score for evaluating pregnant women for labor induction. It was developed from an initial group of 11 variables and was modeled after the Bishop score.
Parameters:
(1) effacement
(2) consistency of the cervix
(3) dilatation
(4) parity of the mother

= SUM(points for the 4 parameters)
Interpretation:
• minimum score: 0
• maximum score: 19
• A score >= 7 in a multiparous woman is reported to be more sensitive and specific than a Bishop score >= 4 (induction usually successful).
