Nelfinavir mesylate (Viracept, Pfizer) can be used to treat a child with HIV. Oral dosing can be either as tablets or powder.
Patient selection: >= 2 years of age
Dosing regimens:
(1) 45-55 mg per kg bid
(2) 25-35 mg per kg tid

(2) powder, 50 mg drug per scoop (each scoop weighs 1 gram; 4 scoops = 1 teaspoon = 200 mg )
