Heidelberg Prognostic Score for Recurrent Gliomas

Description

Combs et al reported a prognostic score for patients with recurrent glioma who undergo re-irradiation of the tumor. This can help to identify a patient who may benefit from more aggressive or a novel therapy. The authors are from the University Hospital of Heidelberg.

Patient selection: recurrent glioma undergoing re-irradiation

Parameters:

(1) WHO histologic grade of the glioma

(2) age in years

(3) time interval between initial radiotherapy and re-irradiation in months
