Description

He et al reported nomograms for predicting overall survival for a patient with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The authors are from Guangdong Academy of Medical Sciences, Southern Medical University, South China University of Technology and Kungming Medical University.

Patient selection: resected non-small cell lung cancer, Stage 1 to 3A

Parameters:

(1) age in years, from 30 to 80

(2) T stage

(3) N stage

(4) IHC-immune signature, from -1.2 to 1.4, based on automated stained digital images

points for age =

= (0.07 * (age)) - 2.1

points for IHC immune signature =

= 3.846 * (signature)) + 4.61538

= SUM(points for all of the parameters)

Interpretation:

• minimum score: 0

• maximum score: 21.2

value of X =

= (-0.06605 * ((score)^2)) + (0.6562 * (score)) + 1.231

probability of 3-year overall survival =

= 1 / (1 + EXP((-1) * X))
