(1) packs of cigarettes smoked per day
(2) measured hemoglobin in g/L

Reduce Measured Hemoglobin
0.5 to 1.0 packs per day
0.3 g/L
1.0 to 2.0 packs per day
0.5 g/L
> 2 packs per day
0.7 g/L
A more significant increase may be due to erythrocytosis.
