Description

Liang et al developed a nomogram for predicting survival in a patient with a resected non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). This can help to identify a patient who may benefit from more aggressive management. The authors are from multiple hospitals and universities in China.

Patient selection: resected NSLC

Parameters:

(1) age in years

(2) histologic type of NSCLC

(3) number of sampled lymph nodes

(4) gender

(5) T stage

(6) N stage

Interpretation:

• minimum score: 0

• maximum score: 32.5

• The higher the score the lower the 5 year survival rate.

• Survival in other countries may differ from that of China.
