The National Early Warning Score (NEWS) can be modified by incorporating the soluble urokinase plasminogen activator receptor (suPAR). This can help to identify an older adult in the Emergency Department who is at greater risk of mortality.
Patient selection: adult >= 70 years of age in the Emergency Department

(2) soluble urokinase plasminogen activator receptor (suPAR) in ng/mL
