Description

Zou et al reported a nomogram for predicting survival for a patient with a spinal chordoma. This can help to identify a patient who may benefit from more aggressive management. The authors are from the University of South China, Central South University, and affiliated hospitals in China as well as the University of Toledo.

Patient selection: spinal chordoma

Parameters:

(1) age in years

(2) Enneking stage

(3) preoperative recurrence

(4) muscle invasion by tumor

(5) type of surgery

(6) immune risk score of Zou et al

Interpretation:

• minimum score: 0

• maximum score: 332.5

value of X =

= (-0.00003279 * ((score)^2)) - (0.007346 * (score)) + 1.757

probability of 5-year overall survival =

= 1 / (1 + EXP((-1) * X))

Performance:

• The area under the ROC curve is 0.79.
