The severity of orthopedic intolerance can be graded by its clinical features.
Parameters:
(1) frequency of orthostatic symptoms without orthostatic stressors
(2) frequency of orthostatic symptoms with orthostatic stressors
(3) length of time able to stand
(4) restrictions in activities of daily living (ADL)
Orthostatic stressors may include:
(1) prolonged standing
(2) a meal
(3) exertion
(4) heat stress
