Mites may grow in flour stored at room temperature. A person who is allergic to the mites may develop anaphylaxis or other reactions if s/he eats something made from the flour, such as pancakes.
Features:
(1) A patient is allergic to mites.
(2) Mites are present in flour stored at room temperature.
(3) The patient develops a serious allergic reaction after being exposed to the flour.
(4) No other explanation for the allergic reaction can be found.
A person who is allergic to mites should store food carefully to protect it from mites.
