Description

Karadag et al reported the 10-item Phubbing Scale (PS) for describing how much mobile phone use interferes with social engagement. Phubbing occurs when a mobile phone user ignores others during a face-to-face conversation by engaging with a mobile phone. A phubber may have a number of behavioral addictions (mobile phone, social media, SMS, internet, gaming).

Phubbing is a term derived from phone and snubbing.

(4) I’m busy with my mobile phone when I’m with friends.

(5) My phone is always within my reach.

(6) When I wake up in the morning, I first check the messages on my phone.
