The ILO University of Cincinnati (U/C) 1971 International Classification of the Pneumoconioses standardizes the reporting of chest X-rays in patients with pneumoconiosis. The short form is an abbreviated version of the extended form.

(4) small irregular opacities, profusion
(5) small opacities, combined profusion
(6) large opacities, size
(7) pleural thickening, chest wall and diaphragm
(8) pleural calcifications
(9) additional symbols
