Description

A premenopausal woman treated for cancer may experience premature ovarian failure. A number of findings in the ovary and serum can help to identify these women.


 

Evaluation: usually performed in the early follicular phase

These findings may occur in conjunction with clinical features of menopause:

(1) amenorrhea

(2) hot flashes

(3) night sweats

(4) vaginal dryness
