Description

Marino and Goin developed a shortened version of the Quadriplegia Index of Function (QIF). This is intended to serve as a brief disability measure that can be easily used in clinical settings. The authors are from Thomas Jefferson University and Data Medix Corporation.


 

Activities in the short-from:

(1) washing and drying hair

(2) turning from supine to side while in bed

(3) putting on lower body clothing (pants, etc.)

(4) opening a carton or jar (feeding)

(5) transfer from bed to chair

(6) locking wheelchair brakes

Interpretation:

• minimum score: 0

• maximum score: 24
