In general the health hazards of depleted uranium munitions (DUM) is low (unless you are struck by one).
Risk factors for a significant exposure to uranium:
(1) retained shrapnel from a DUM
(2) passenger in a vehicle struck by a DUM
(3) living (eating, playing, etc) in a tank heavily contaminated from a DUM
Additional risk factors might include:
(1) exposed to smoke from a fire containing a depleted uranium munition
(2) person manufacturing a depleted uranium munitrion without adequate personal protective equipment
