Risk factors for mortality after a hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT):
(1) neutropenia
(2) renal insufficiency
(3) hepatic failure
(4) early-onset invasive aspergillosis
(5) proven invasive aspergillosis
(6) use of amphotericin B as part of initial therapy
(7) methylprednisolone therapy
Risk factors for mortality after a solid organ transplant (SOT):
(1) hepatic failure
(2) malnutrition
(3) central nervous system (CNS) disease
(4) use of amphotericin B as part of initial therapy
(5) failure to treat with prednisone
