Description

Wallgren et al listed the risk for locoregional recurrence in a woman treated for breast cancer. The authors are from multiple universities participating in the International Breast Cancer Study Group (IBCSG).

There are 6 groupings of patients based on:

(1) menopausal status

(2) number of axillary lymph nodes with metastases

Data used:

(1) diameter of the tumor in cm

(2) lymphovascular invasion

(3) histologic grade (from 1 to 3)
