Anderson et al used 3 simple ECG criteria for separating an anterior from an inferior myocardial infarction. The authors are from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.
Patient exclusions:
(1) ventricular hypertrophy
(2) fascicular block
(3) bundle branch block
Screening criteria:
(1) Q wave >= 30 ms in lead aVF
(2) R wave <= 10 ms in duration AND <= 0.1 mV in amplitude in V2
(3) R wave >= 40 ms in V1
