Description

Scrotal lymphangioma (scrotal lymphangioma circumscriptum) is a rare urologic disorder in males

Presentations may include:

(1) scrotal pain

(2) scrotal mass/lump

(3) scrotal swelling

The lesions can be transilluminated.

The diagnosis is typically made on microscopic examination, showing expanded cystic lymphatic spaces.

Scrotal lymphangioma may coexist with retroperitoneal or intraperitoneal lymphomatosis (scrotal-abdominal lymphangiomatosis) or with inguinal lymphangiomas.

It is usually primary but can be secondary to varicocele or other scrotal surgery.

Rarely the lesion can become massive (giant scrotal lymphangioma).
