Description

Struk et al reported the Short Boredom Proneness Scale (SBPS) for identifying a person who is prone to boredom. The authors are from the University of Waterloo in Canada.


Items:

(1) often at "loose ends"

(2) hard to entertain myself

(3) many things are repetitive and monotonous

(4) need more stimulation to get going than for most people

(5) don't feel motivated by most things

(6) hard to find something to do or to be interested in

(7) most of the time just sit around doing nothing

(8) feel half-dead or dull unless doing something exciting or even dangerous
