Diagnostic group for influenza:
(1) influenza active in the community
(2) fever (>= 37.8°C, often > 38°C; odds ratio 3.3)
(3) cough (odds ratio 2.9)
(4) nasal congestion (odds ratio 2.0)
Clinical findings that can be seen in flu-like syndromes negative for influenza virus:
(1) weakness
(2) loss of appetite
(3) sore throat
(4) headache
(5) myalgias
