Yes

Does the patient show?

• negative urine tests for glucose and ketones followed in a few hours by marked glycosuria and/or ketonuria?

Yes

• wide fluctuation in plasma glucose that cannot be explained by caloric intake or insulin administration?

Yes

• signs and symptoms of nocturnal hypoglycemia with hyperglycemia on arising?

Yes

• persistent or worsening signs and symptoms despite increasing the insulin dose?

Yes
