The PIP Joint Synovitis Score is a clinical measure of arthritis based on the synovial changes in the proximal interphalangeal joints of both hands . This can be used in conjunction with other clinical and laboratory findings to determine the overall severity of Rheumatoid Arthritis in a patient.
