Coyne et al developed a Treatment Satisfaction Questionnaire for patients with gastro-esophageal reflux (TSQ-G). This can be used to monitor a patient's satisfaction with treatment and to make adjustments accordingly. The authors are from MEDTAP International in Bethesda, Maryland and Astra Zeneca in MoIndal, Sweden.
NOTE: While the questionnaire was developed for gastro-esophageal reflux patients, all of the questions are pretty generic, so the questionnaire can be applied to other disorders as well.
Subdomains:
(1) symptoms (7 statements)
(2) satisfaction (7 statements)
(3) ability to take as needed (PRN; 4 statements)
(4) expectations (2 statements)
(5) cost (3 statements)
(6) physician/provider relationship (3 statements)
(7) bother (3 statements)
The responses were based on recall over the preceding 2 weeks.
According to the description of the questionnaire, responses are based on a 6-point Likert scale from 1 to 6. However, considering the responses a 7-point Likert scale makes more sense.

total score for subdomain =
= SUM(points for all questions in subdomain)

= (total score for subdomain) / (number of questions in subdomain)
Interpretation:
• minimum satisfaction with each subdomain: 0
• maximum satisfaction with each subdomain: 6
Limitations:
• Some of the items read as if the questionnaire was developed by a drug company trying to get market feedback.
