Kenis et al reported the Flemish version of the Triage Risk Screening Tool (fTRST). This can be used to identify a geriatric adult at risk for functional decline. The authors are from University Hospitals Leuven and other hospitals in Belgium.
Patient selection: geriatric adult
Parameters:
(1) cognitive impairment (disorientation, delirium, dementia, etc)
(2) caregiver status
(3) difficulty with mobility during the past 6 months (walking, transfers, falls, etc)
(4) recent hospitalization (within last 3 months)
(5) number of medications being taken
