Description

Puhr et al reported the VAGAS score for predicting the outcome of a patient with gastroesophageal carcinoma. Some parameters are based on alarm symptoms, some on endoscopic findings and one on pathologic exam. The authors are from Medical University of Vienna and Comprehensive Cancer Center in Vienna.


VAGAS is based on Viennese, Advanced Gastroesopheal and Alarm Symptoms.

 

Patient selection: advanced or metastatic gastro-esophageal cancer

(4) ulcer or active bleeding
