The presence of portal hypertension may indicate a patient who is at risk for a major complication of the Fontan procedure. The authors are from Emory University and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

Outcome: major adverse events involving death or cardiac transplant
Parameters:
(1) varices (V)

= SUM(points for all 4 parameters)
