The Walton scale is a simple measure of general muscle function.
The basic scale is a VAS type scale.
(1) Normal muscle function is Grade 0
(2) Severe deterioration has been designated as Grade 7, 8, 9 or 10. This may be designated as chair or bed bound.
(3) The intervening grades show a gradual loss in function
