Patient selection: infant or child up to 5 years (from 0 to 1,856 days)
Parameters:
(1) birthdate
(2) date of the examination
(3) gender
(4) height in cm
age in days =
= (date of examination) - (date of birth)
The mean and standard deviation for each gender are known:
z-score =
= ((height in cm) - (mean)) / (standard deviation)
The z-scores range from -4 to +4.
